I have always been a hard worker, and take pride in what I do. I understand what it is like to lose someone having lost my father back in 2020. I made my father's headstone by hand which is important to me. I have always noticed where he rests how many graves have been forgotten and neglected. This saddens me. Qualified and experienced
I am a qualified stonemason holding an advanced craft diploma and NVQ levels 2 and 3 in the discipline. My extensive experience includes creating architectural details for prestigious institutions like Cambridge University, Rochester Cathedral, and numerous Grade 1 listed churches across Essex, Suffolk, and Greater London.

Additional Services
At The Headstone Cleaner, I offer other services in addition to memorial maintenance . With my background as a church/cathedral mason and my ability to carve stone and wood, I am open to bespoke work. As someone who has worked in the industry, I know from experience that the vast majority of headstones and plaques made these days use sandblasting and other technology. I should stress that everything I make including the items below (and in the lower gallery) are crafted entirely by hand using traditional methods.
General Stone Cleaning
While I specialise in headstone cleaning, we also do ornamental stonework cleaning be it a sculpture, architectural detail or other stone ornaments. Please just ask you are very welcome. I have recently been working at Grade II listed 'The Gibberd Garden' in Harlow, featuring multiple works from famous celebrated artists.
Bespoke stone carving
As a highly competent stone carver and letter cutter, I offer bespoke work for various needs. This can include pet memorials, football crests, house signs, commemorative plaques any other unique stone carving project you envision.
Woodcarving & pyrography
In addition to stone, I also possess abilities in woodcarving and pyrography. I am open to discussing bespoke projects in these mediums, bringing your ideas to life with craftsmanship and artistic detail.
